Mike Murphy's life reads like a novel. From a restless youth facing multiple arrests, his tenacity carried him to become an acclaimed self-made entrepreneur, building multi-million-dollar businesses in auto and commercial real estate, including nearly two decades as President and Owner of the Oakland Automotive Group.
Then came the love of his life, Margot, and the hardest chapter of all. Through her nine-year battle with cancer, Mike became her caregiver. After losing her in 2011, he did what he'd always done with pain: he turned it into purpose. He founded the Love from Margot Foundation to help women facing advanced cancer, and later built Mountains of Hope, a licensed medical facility in the mountains of Colombia.
